Melissa Davidson, MEd., is the Founder of Perceptive Parents, a coaching practice for families with children ranging in age from newborns to teens. Utilizing exclusive tools she developed based on her training and experience, Melissa helps parents develop stronger connections with their children. Parenting is a full-time job and better connections mean greater job satisfaction!
Melissa has nearly a decade of first-hand parenting experience. Her greatest passion in life is her family – she proudly co-parents her two children, Zachary and Stella, with her husband, Brian. Without question, Melissa's hardest and favorite role has been at-home, primary-care parent. Her family has very eclectic music tastes and they love singing, dancing and playing instruments together. They prioritize family dinners and are always looking for new TV shows to watch as a family.
Melissa has been working with families for over two decades; she has worn many professional hats in the field of Early Childhood Education. Melissa ran the childcare center for the US House of Representatives. She worked as a Regional Manager for Bright Horizons Family Solutions, with oversight for 10 childcare centers in the Greater Washington, DC area. Most recently, Melissa is sharing her talents part-time at ThirdPath Institute as the Director of Operations. Melissa has a degree in Early Childhood education from University of Pennsylvania, a BA in psychology from Bucknell University and she is a Certified Professional Coach.
