Laura Christofferson Celnar
Social Worker/ Play Therapist

Laura is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist with over 15 years of experience working with children and families. She provides child therapy, parent coaching, and family counseling. Her specialties include child behavioral issues, childhood anxiety, and grief/trauma. She is currently an officer for the San Diego Chapter of the California Association of Play Therapy, a volunteer for the San Diego Postpartum Health Alliance, and is a member of the Earliest Relationships Network.
In addition to her private practice, she spent several years working as a home visitor and an in-home parenting coach with military families and parents of young children. She uses art, music, toys, and other play-based strategies to assist children in overcoming their struggles. While she takes great enjoyment in working with children, she is equally passionate about the partnership that she builds with parents and caregivers to help them reach their parenting goals.
