Jeanette Mesite Frem

Lactation Consultant

Jeanette Mesite Frem is a private practice lactation consultant (since 2013), childbirth educator (since 2002) and owner of Babies in Common in Central Massachusetts.  She started her career in maternal-child health in 1992 as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Cote d’Ivoire, West Africa, continued her formal education with a masters degree in public health and went on to work with the MA state department of public health, taught childbirth classes for two hospitals and has attended the births of over 120 babies as a birth doula.  Jeanette also enjoys speaking at perinatal conferences and participating in the of training childbirth educators and birth doulas. She can be seen as one of the featured experts in the DVD Being Dad: Inspiration and Information for Dads-to-be, USA version (2008). When not working, she can be found hanging out with her husband, Dave, and their two kids (age 12 and 14, one of whom was born at home—on purpose!) or traveling far and wide to follow her other passion, Duran Duran.
