The Breast Milk Keepsake Locket Kit allows you to preserve your own breast milk inside a locket. The kit is meant to be used with your own breast milk only due to health and safety reasons. The kit comes complete with ingredients for preservation, detailed instructions, and a locket with a chain (as shown) so your finished piece will be ready to wear. You will need a stove top, small pot and paper towels to complete the project. It comes as shown, but the style of the bottles, and color of the paintbrush may vary. The Breast Milk Keepsake Locket Kit was so much fun to complete. The directions were easy to follow even though there were vague amounts of time between some of steps. I made sure to let the solutions dry longer than indicated to make sure I didn't mess anything up since there was no second chance. The locket turned out beautiful! The chain is a little longer than I would like but that is an easy thing to fix. I am so glad I will have this keepsake long after my nursing relationship is finished.

I will admit, I wasn't sure if I thought this would be cool or weird to have but I wanted to check it out. The instructions were easy to follow and I liked that it was always okay to let it dry longer than it said. Mixing up the breastmilk and solutions was really easy and only took a few minutes to complete. I know that I will treasure this long after we have finished nursing. This makes a great keepsake.

When I first heard about the Breast Milk Keepsake Locket Kit my first thought was that's weird but the more I thought about it the more I liked the concept. Nursing my babies has been one of the most rewarding and wonderful experiences in my life. So preserving a little bit of that is truly a wonderful idea and a miracle. The package containing the locket kit was super cute and colorful. It would make an amazing gift just based on the packaging. The directions were through and easy to follow. While the process takes a long time the actual time put into it was very minimal. My favorite part was the actual condensing of the milk. I was amazed of how much 2 oz condensed down to. The other part I loved was my older toddler watching and making comments about my “special mommy's breast milk craft”. My only complaint (and the only reason not to give it a full 5 stars) was the locket seems a bit cheep, especially the chain. My chain is already turning colors. This doesn't bug me much since I will put my own chain on it. If I were going to give this as a gift or do it again (which I might) would upgrade and purchase one of the nicer lockets. I looked online at the other options and there is a nice selection and not horribly expensive. To sum up. I love this product and may even do it again just for myself. If I know of any mamas to be who plan on breast feeding this is top on my list for a gift. I would however, not go with the cheapest locket since it is a little on the cheap side.
