Michelle Mintz
Early Development Expert
Michelle Mintz, M.S., CCC-SLP, The Early Development Expert's background is as a Speech-Language Pathologist for over 25 years, specializing in working with children from birth to 5 years old. Her therapy experiences inspired her to create her unique company, Baby Blooming Moments® which empowers mom, dads, grandparents, siblings, and nannies with babies birth to three, to enrich the way they interact with their babies and toddlers. She develops personalized, proactive strategies helping families transform everyday in-the-moment interactions into valuable, teachable opportunities.
Studies reveal that 90% of brain development happens before 5 years old. Therefore, continuous active involvement and enriching interactions from the entire surrounding support team leaves the strongest impact. Emerging research shows that babies born during the COVID lockdown are falling behind in their language and social skills which negatively affects their growth and development. Through her company, Baby Blooming Moments, families learn essential strategies that address their baby's attention, language, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development and how they can joyfully bridge the gap to help their children excel.
Through Baby Blooming Moments, available in the U.S. and internationally, families get one-on-one coaching experiences, virtually or in-person, to learn essential strategies that can be integrated throughout the day. Implementing her strategies and hands-on activities helps increase communication, brain connections, learning and social development during those crucial early formative years when the most impactful brain development occurs – which helps all babies and toddlers bloom! Michelle also provides fun filled coaching experiences with the new baby's siblings about how to connect, engage and actually encourage ways to contribute to the new baby's growth and development.
Michelle earned her B.A. in Speech and Hearing Sciences from U.C. Santa Barbara and her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Boston University before establishing her private practice in Santa Monica, CA in 1995, having decades of experience working with families. She is also the author of All Done Binky!, a book to help support families with babies and toddlers weaning off pacifiers available on Amazon.
