Julie Lothamer
Dietitian/ Lactation Consultant
Julie received both her Bachelors of Science in Dietetics and Masters of Science in Family and Community Service from Michigan State University. She became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2002. Over her 20 year career with the Women, Infant and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC), she has worked in multiple roles from local agency WIC nutritionist and breastfeeding coordinator to her current position as Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Coordinator at the State of Michigan WIC division. In this role, she manages the USDA peer grant which provides funds to 44 WIC agencies. As well as coordinates educational opportunities for Peers and WIC staff in the area of breastfeeding. In her free time, Julie enjoys watching her teenagers play sports, spending time with family and friends, running and reading.
