Anesthesiologist
Dr. Michael Bautista is an associate professor with the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. He is a practicing anesthesiologist in a general hospital setting at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in St. John’s; he also provides care in obstetrical anesthesia at the Janeway Child and Women’s Health Centre, and in chronic pain at the L.A. Miller Centre, both in St. John’s. He graduated from medical school at Memorial University in 1981, completed his anesthesia residency in 1986, and was certified as a specialist in anesthesia by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 1986, and as a Consultant in anesthesia by the American Board of Anesthesiology in 1987.
