Barbara Harper, RN, founder and director of Waterbirth International Resource and Referral Service, has been researching and documenting waterbirth and gentle birth since 1983. Midwives and parents alike have called her videos “the most inspiring birth videos ever produced.” Her newest book, Waterbirth: Embracing the Miracle, will be available in 2005. An internationally recognized expert, she lectures and consults with hospitals and universities throughout the world. The Oregonian newspaper referred to her as “the Billy Graham of waterbirth.”
